The film features interviews with Alan Wurtzel, the son of the company's founder and the creator of the Circuit City brand. In early 2009, more than 34,000 American workers lost their jobs and one of retail's greatest stories of entrepreneurship abruptly came to an end. The documentary was written, directed and produced by Tom Wulf, a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism who spent 24 years in various senior management positions with Circuit City and CarMax. After 60 years in business and a presence in every major U.S. The documentary tells the tale of two "Cities:" one that went from good to great, and the other that went from great to gone.
