The metal cut-off wheel is a high speed thin wheel. The cut-off wheel has an aluminum oxide grain and has an extra thin design. The Mercer wheel also has double external reinforcing with extra high tensile strength fiberglass. The Mercer 616040 is a 4-1/2” x .040” x 7/8” Black Lightning Metal Cut-Off Wheel. The Mercer 616040 is used for cutting stainless steel, carbon, alloy, rebar, metal tubing and light gauge metals.
