Product Description
This allows a gaming device VoIP telephone adapter or other device to receive prioritized upstream bandwidth without the confusing networking terminology usually required with QoS. The ADSL X6 integrates an ADSL 2/2+ modem an 802.11g wireless access point a router NAT and SPI firewalls and a four-port 10/100 Ethernet switch into a single cost-effective product. Other advanced features supported include: WPA2 WPA and WEP wireless security; WME (WiFi Multimedia Extensions) for Quality of Service with wireless networks; WDS (Wireless Distribution System) for support of wireless repeater functions; Per Port PVC for routing of a particular PVC to a specific Ethernet port on the switch when delivering video. This device is RoHS (Restrictions on Hazardous Substances) compliant. The 5590-00-00FF has a very easy to set up Quality of Service (QoS) feature that prioritizes traffic based upon the physical port either Ethernet or wireless that a prioritized device uses to connect to the X6. An auto configuration wizard can be used to establish the VPI/VCI settings and encapsulation used on an ADSL-enable phone line making this device easy to set up with any ADSL service provider. The ADSL X6 is compatible with DSL Forum TR-068 and TR-069. The ADSL modem works with any standard ADSL service: G.dmt G.lite ANSI T1.413 Issue 2 ADSL2 (G.992.3) ADSL2+ (G.992.5) . The wireless access point and Ethernet ports can be used to attach wireless clients a switch a hub or any combination of those devices and provide high?speed ADSL Internet access for up to 253 computers.
